The Navy Suit Blues

I love navy blue {who doesn’t know that if they’ve read my posts?!} so, when I read this article in Details Magazine, it only made sense to share. Blue is a very conventional color but the predominant shades of blue for this season are anything but…. Know your blues: cornflower ~ a washed-out azure, it’s a a more common color for a button-down shirt than a suit and looks terrific with a darker blue like navy della robbia blue ~

Emerald: Pantone 2013 Color of the Year

Last year it was Tangerine Tango. The year before it was Honeysuckle. 2010 it was Turquoise. Lately, I’ve been pausing on any page or sighting of leather – and no, I’m not succumbing to my inner vixen. The leather I’ve been craving has been in the form of leggings (nothing new) and peplum tops. They are so dang expensive though….DVF has one for $600, 3.1 Philip Lim has a long sleeve version for $1,350, and the list goes on. Political Style Battle #3: Who Wore It Best?

What a coinky-dink that Michelle Obama and Ann Romney both had a pink dresses for the debate this week! They’re stylists should have coordinated – or perhaps they did! So who wore it best?
