I am NOT a DIY kinda chick (I barely have time to tie my shoelaces) but when I saw this, I got excited.
Ok truth be told - I got excited but I saw something sparkly....but they're cute nonetheless!
Elbow patches are a terrific way to add depth and flavor to blazers and sweaters - and, frankly, a terrific way to make something old new again. Choose an older blazer and sweater and let's get to work....this idea came from a pair & a spare.
What you'll need:
- blazer or sweater
- sequin fabric
- scissors
- a needle and thread
- craft paper and pen
Pared down instructions {full instructions here}:
- cut the shape out of the sequin fabric
- thread the needle
- pin the patches in place
- sew 'em on (but make sure they look symmetrical)
