FYI….a Choo-In

This month Tamara Mellon of the 15-year-old Jimmy Choo launches Jimmy Choo Eau de Parfum ($95).  Tamara says this “sensual, seductive and mysterious” fragrance is very feminine.  It smells fruity/floral because of the orchid, patchouli and toffee notes.  It comes in a Murano glass topped with a black and silver cube….along with the hallmark rose color and python detailing on the packaging. (Saks) I’m excited…..

You Wanna Bust a Cap In Someone’s A–?

Quickshot Shooting Range: 1199 Zonolite Rd, Morningside (404.963.1962) As a newbie, you have to watch an instructional animation video, and then head to Quickshot’s state-of-the-art shooting range (and the only one inside 285) with seven lanes, HEPA filter technology that removes 99.97% of lead from the air, and free (legitimately delicious) home-baked cookies, started by a Duluth-raised demolition biz owner who says he’s targeting “the in-town crowd more than the die hard enthusiast“, though he still promises a Hans-on experience. Less is more today, but the key is to be selective about what that less is!  When packing for a quick business trip, too many shirts isn’t useful, but not having enough underwear can leave you feeling a little too open…. So, when we’re talking about travel packing, the first basic is a good suit that is comfortable and cut well, but can also work with you as you move through airports, taxis, meetings, and restaurants.  My recommendation is a

Tokyo Fashion: Lesson Learned….

For most Americans, Tokyo is expensive.  Consider this: a tall Starbucks soy chai with flavoring (I get french vanilla) is about ¥650 which is about $8.50 using a generous conversion of ¥75.  To get into a taxi, the starting fare is ¥710 which is about $9 before you even start moving….! With that said, walking the streets of Tokyo (which is just about all I can afford to do…..LOL) you will find Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Gucci on just about
