Clearly not the man himself since he passed away in 1988, but Macy’s celebrates the 100th birthday of Romare Bearden for Black History Month in conjunction with The Romare Bearden Foundation. Although the exhibition will be available February 16-19, the reception is on February 16th at 5:30PM. Macy‘s tapped Italian designer Alberta Ferreti to create a new 30-piece collection of Macy’s Impulse line targeted at “women 26 to 29” which means I won’t be buying this collection ~{I’ll just stick with Doo Ri’s capsule collection that releases on February 15th}. This collection which debuts on April 17th will be typical Alberta Ferreti with feminine dresses, peasant blouses, chiffon and, voile.
The marriage of bold prints & feminine girly designer Milly and boat shoe shoemaker Sperry Top Sider will produce 13 styles covered with lace, metallic rope, and charms.
