Truth be told, Buenos Aires is not really calling me – but it did call for one of my besties so, being the great friend that I am, I’m answering by looking for a plane ticket, planning for lots of Malbec and steak, and putting together my outfits for the trip. A few things to note before/for outfit planning: the flight is 10+ hours the average temp will be low to mid 80s (yippee!) they are known for Malbec and steak!
It’s true ~ I hate yoga! Ask any of my girlfriends and they’ll gladly share my philosophy on yoga….not for me! When I started walking last summer (and losing weight), it was cool because it was sunny outside. Now that it’s 30 degrees, the motivation to continue has decreased…significantly so I am using every weapon in my arsenal to maintain my gains. While I’m not sure of the difference between “living” coral and non-living coral, so be it! Pantone’s 2019 color of the year, living coral, is bright, effusive, friendly, energizing but soft, and vibrant but slightly mellow. I can play nice with other colors but it’s not made for everyone. I love love love blazers….although not the biggest fan of double-breasted options because most styles are too tight around my mid-section. To keep them looking slick, opt for skinny or fitted bottoms! If you’re taking the plunge but also want to get some regular use out of it, I’d recommend a navy pinstripe (like pictured above) or a “save” version here! Love leather! So that this fall leather dresses are everywhere is everything…..you can do full-on leather or opt for the vegan-friendly PU options. A simple PU option from asos will keep you looking slick but I’m loving this ready-for-work tie-waist midi dress. Shorts can be the bane of a grown woman’s summer wardrobe ~ they are oftentimes the elusive white elephant…if you will! I am IN LOVE with these French terry pintuck pleat pants! They’re cream, made of a soft terry, a pseudo- jogger/pants but perfection to wear to any meeting because of the fit. ALL of my closest friends know that I’ve been on the hunt for the right tote bag. It had to have structure. It had to be metalware-free (except for the smallest and most imperceptible pieces). It should come in navy (or cognac). It should be big enough to carry my laptop, scarf, makeup bag, and a small fashionable find (wink, wink). And then this happened… Done! Grab yours here ~ it comes in red, taupe, blush, cognac and black, of course….!
