Yummie Yummie for the Tummy Tummy
I have long been a fan of Yummie Tummie and after road-testing a few new items, I am in love with this shapewear all over again!

Men…attention! Get the quick skinny on the secret to male, Euro fashion dominance, how to wear the 3 piece suit andthe absolute must-have accessory.
A few key notes from the previous week that will get you ready for the weeks to come including facials, animal print, and adages of old!
Make it a sweater, slacks, a corduroy shirt….or a camel coat. We feel in love with this one by Burberry Prorsum.
These are some terrific photos….great pictures “essays” of the brilliance of Diane von Furstenberg and it provides some outfit options as well!
For fall, you need to make sure you have your 3-piece suit and while there are several designers (Dolce & Gabbana, Dunhill, Ralph Lauren Purple Label), our favorite is by Simon Spurr.
I love Donna Karan clothing. It is feminine, clean, chic, sophisticated and designed for women who have seen life and are living it!
A stylish start to the week from last week’s lessons learned… Intelligence: This is an under-appreciated quality in a man…and occasionally most under-appreciated by men most! Say “I’m Sorry”: It must be some machismo-thing, but men don’t like to apologize. Why? Using Protection: That got your attention, didn’t it! I’m talking about rain….it’s just a stylish and dapper to use a new weatherproof fedora as an umbrella. See. Do. Be. Dapper.
A week’s worth of fashion, faux pas, follies, fabulosity, finds, forgettables, regrettables, and the like…… Girl Power – Go!: nothing against the fellas, but there are few things more energizing and empowering than a group of dynamic women! Reading: it’s the start of something wonderful! Reading opens up doors and windows to experiences and places we can only imagine…and that’s always in style. Style Tip: metallics are in this season so, add a little shine to your everyday outfit. The rainbow
Last Wednesday, Blueprint for Style ventured into a new “lane” and hosted a Cigars, Cognac & Couture event to kickoff the 40th Annual Legislative Conference for the Congressional Black Caucus at Bobby Van’s Steakhouse. The evening started out with a Cohiba cigar and scotch tasting of Glenlivet then proceeded to a fabulous sit-down dinner and great conversation. After dinner, we had an education on Martell‘s Cordon Bleu cognac and followed that with more Cohibas cigar courtesy of The General Cigar Company.
I believe in comfort, but I believe in looking stylish in the process. Here are a few pieces that can stretch your fall wardrobe: H&M jacket ($50): perfect for fall weekends, travel and just wearing when you’re out-and-about Tulle cotton skirt ($58): everything high-waisted is in this fall J Crew silk-cotton tank ($30): works with jeans and a blazer, or a dark-colored suit
Menswear is a fall fashion trend and to pull it off, you only need a few essentials to mix-n-match with your current duds. Trousers: go simple. A nice pair of grey flannel or black wool crepe; either way go long and lean Blazer: make it tweed…and belt it to keep it fem! Boyfriend Shirt: nothing is better than crisp white or a soft, light blue This look is going to work best with the more svelte, and those unafraid “androgyny”
Bottom line: you need a basically fabulous belt to wear throughout the fall and winter. It should be understated yet edgy, and basic yet standout. This 3-inch wide belt by Mumba is ideal to wear on top of sweaters, blazers, and tees. Just do it!
Yosi Samra Pop Up Shop (456 Broome St): they’re having a Cocktail Opening Sale, 5-7pm tonight!
The 70s are well known for being basically lush. The pictures below are great looks at how to bring the 70s to life — monochromatic camel, floor-grazing hemlines, and blanket cardigans secured by edgy belts!
