- {Gold Beaded and Gilded Shell Necklace}
So, you know my focus for 2012 is statement necklaces and blouses, so when I got 'the call' to be part of a photo shoot for Façon Magazine ~ to wear some fabulous jewelry from Keith Lipert's Gallery, I jumped and squealed simultaneously!
The day of the shoot {which took place at Keith Lipert Gallery on M Street NW} was particularly warm for February in DC....almost 75 degrees. So my very short, boyfriend-style old teal dress with gold tweed dress was perfect {here's one with similar styling but summer fabric and slightly less sparkle}!
I suppose the shoot could have taken a few minutes, but I got sidetracked with all of the wonderful pieces besides the one I was supposed to wear for the shoot {pictured to the right}. Keith is a wealth of knowledge and given his client roster {everyone from Margaret Thatcher to rock-n-roll royalty}, his ability to choose pieces that speak to the person are unparalleled. So much so in fact that I am plotting a private event for a select few to get inside scoop and accessory savvy.
That said, get a look at the photos we took and, more importantly, the jewelry I sported. My favorite pieces turned out to be the brilliant double-strand pearl necklace with the gold butterfly detailing ~ I'm not a pearls girl but definitely tried to smooth-talk my way into becoming its owner!
