6 Things We Want To Share This Week

  • All that glitters is gold and all that shimmers is silver! New York Fashion Week presented us with first class glam in all sorts of colors, textures, and patterns – Badgley Mischka and Michael Kors showcased a spectacular and colorful collection of all things glamorous and Heidi Klum was seen in a glittering golden gown by Julien MacDonald at the Grammy Awards.

  • Fashion Week had a bit of nostalgia for us with a flashback from the bright and boldly-printed 90s! Michael Kors dipped into it with heavy chokers and Jeremy Scott dug into his kid past with PVC outerwear.
  • Ecstatic to discover It-Brit designer Vivienne Westwood expanding her label into American stores.  Just opening her first U.S. flagship on Melrose Avenue in California, we can find her famous signatures: iconic pirate boots, tartan plaids (very in for the Fall!), the Red Label, and her corseted Gold Label dresses ready for the red-carpet.
  • Bold Spring bags you can wear straight through next Fall!  Designers like Diane von Furstenberg, Rebecca Taylor, and Jason Wu, have all showed pops of rich colored clutches and satchels as part of their Fall 2011 collections. Pick your favorite color, and you’re ready to pair it with any outfit!
  • We’re loving the fact that we can take our Spring fashion trends all the way to the Fall, one being sheer layers! Steer clear of making it look X-rated by wearing a totally solid top over something sheer or vice a versa for a sexy, filmy layer! Altuzarra added a mesh insert at the torso of a body-hugging frock – perfect!
  • A perfect way to transition from your Winter wardrobe to Spring – adding tights underneath your shorts! How would you style it?
