We’re almost two weeks away from New York Fashion Week (NYFW) and Blueprint for Style will be providing insights and trends to go from runway to walkway. In the last installment of our five part series on how to look cool while keeping warm, we need to give you some boots to keep you going…they all have a slightly rugged feel to them but the various colors and materials make them stand out! The clear winner for us was the Wolverine 1000 Mile boot.
Winter is cold…and seems unending, but to lighten it up a bit, we think finding the right overcoat is essential. The choices are endless but our advice (provided you’re not doing too much walking) is to (1) keep it knee-length since it’s the most versatile, (2) go darker/tweed to avoid frequent cleaning, and (3) opt for a collar and lapels that can stand up to weather the more windy days! Oh yeah — our favorite is the Club Monaco!

I’ve long been a fan of Vince Camuto. The shoes are very “now”, they have character, are well-made, and the styling is usually very feminine and chic. A new shoe is being unveiled: the Renee! It’s snakeskin-embossed, a peep-toe (always sexy), over 3 1/2 inches and comes in army green (dead-on with the present military trend). Do you like it, love it, lust for it, or can live without it?
