TRUE STORY: grew up putting these things over our shoes, back in the 17th century in Pittsburgh. Moved to Texas for 10 eons (years). Upon my return to Sixburgh i went looking for rubbers and couldnt find them. Well stores kept taking me to the prophylactics aisle which was not what i wanted. I finally gave in and called my mum and asked her where to buy them. Knowing I’m very literal minded, she was all: “what do you want, Pam?” and I said “you know, those things to put over your shoes”. She said they don’t call them that anymore.
