It could be a passing phase but I doubt it ~ toe capped shoes. Most designers have them including YSL, Stuart Weitzman, Louboutin, and the always-on-trend Topshop and Zara. You all know ~ I’m partial to a high heel and the toe cap adds just a bit of edge to the everyday heel….it’s the way to go from ladylike to luxe lady diva. They work the same way as your everyday heel but with added pizzaz!
Which are your favorites? Mine are the Louboutin’s but for financial savings, I’m going with Zara. You can grab some pricey Giuseppe Zanotti spike-cap-toe suede ballerinas, Kors rounded patent leather-cap flats, Stuart Weitzman‘s capsize mary jane heel, ASOS heel with metal detailing, or Zara heel with metal toe cap.

Fyn – if you’re looking for a toe-capped shoe, Topshop has a great maroon/burgundy one (http://rstyle.me/n/uta52b4ew). If you’re interested in that nude-ish color, I’d recommend something like the RIver Island (http://rstyle.me/n/uta9nb4ew) or wait until spring shoes because you’ll have more options!
