September is typically one of the hottest in DC and given the recent weather craziness, I suspect that this year will be no different. That said, September is the biggest month in fashion (I have NO ideal how it got to be that way....) so perhaps you can adopt the same philosophy when it comes to your closet! I've spent month-upon-month curating my closet and refining my wardrobe so there isn't a ton to do BUT if you've been wayward, here are the top tips to do:
Eliminate three pairs of jeans from your drawers (anything with a hole in the butt, that requires you to contort your body in awkward ways to get it on, or that you've been 'saving' but can't seem to bring yourself to wear 'em)
Buy your favorite September fashion issue magazine and leaf through it for inspiration
Donate all sweaters with holes to a local shelter
Men make sure you have your brogues and ladies make sure you have your leopard print!
Invest in one white button-front blouse with a generous collar
For me, it'a all about the leopard print and leather...but that's a whole different subject!
