Manly Monday Style Meter

A stylish start to the week from last week’s lessons learned….

  • Leave No Rock Unturned: we have yet to happen upon a men’s magazine that shows wearable, everyday styles for the big(ger) man or semi-professional type….we’re looking!
  • Pinky Toe in the Pool: a small leap for the dapper don but, a giant leap for you — just try a print or pattern in your tie for starters!!
  • Man Purse: we’ve seen too many…besides chapstick, cash & credit cards, what else do you need to carry?  So, why a purse?!?!

See.  Do.  Be.  Dapper.

  1. Love it. I would also caution men to not be too “fashion forward” My friend went on a date where the guy talked more about fashion (ie. he is dying to get his body into shape so he can buy a suit as seen on the cover of Vanity Fair with the soccer players, and by suit I mean Swim)…its fine to be stylish, but don’t toot your horn about it!

  2. A “man” needs to be a “man”! The hand bags and the purse are punkish! There is no style in that !!

    …….Man up !!!

  3. Saranah – we agree with you. There is a fine line between being a stylish dapper don and a fashion-crazed, overindulgent junkie!

  4. As I continue to visit this site, I find that I am loving it more each day. There are so many helpful tips. This is a great site for anyone looking to ‘upgrade’ their appearance and style. I love it and will definitely suggest it to others…

  5. Just say no to a man purse….. everything you really need to have with you fits into your pocket……. Besides it is bad enough when you have to hold onto your family member or GF’s when you are out with them. No need for something else.

  6. For me the man bag doesn’t really work for everyday living however, it’s fine if he’s traveling abroad and needs to carry or tote around little purchases. I believe it can be chic when and if done properly.
