Hosiery – in this case, patterned tights – can elevate your style and outfit!
We are in the perfect season to talk about tights and, more specifically, patterned tights! They are an easy way to get a little warmth – DC temps have dropped! – and add a bit of zhush! And this applies to men too – fun socks are a way to inject a little personality into any outfit.
The real beauty of hosiery is that they are small, can be worn on-repeat, and aren’t overly expensive. Do you want to try it out? Here are a few recommendations to get your creative juices flowing:
- Diamond-print rip-resistant tights
- Satin thigh-highs (when you’re trying the art of seduction!)
- Lattice print tights
- Tartan plaid tights – available in brown and black
- Metallic fishnets – say perfection!
- Micro fishnets rip-resistant
- Nude patterned tights
- Thigh highs (if your legs itch with tights like mine do, try these instead)
- Pin dot knee highs (yes, wear them with pants too!)
If you are like me or are just into being more sustainable, consider the slightly pricier Sheertex as they are very rip-resistant and can save you the heartache of having to keep putting on stocks as you’re ready to leave the house because you can’t find a pair that doesn’t have a run in them…
