Fashion dictates that this month's 'flash forward' is all about....summer and fall (duh!)
Summer weather is in full effect (I know because I'm trying to train for a half marathon and the 90+ degree days with humidity are not cool), but retailers are focused on clearing out inventory. Wonderful news for you - - - head to the stores now and (1) price the items you want, (2) purchase anything that is on sale with 50% or more [because while the discounts will continue to go up, the inventory will continue to go down], and (3) become friends with a sales associate who can tell you when 'final markdowns' are happening [which are very soon].
Fall feels very distant, but in most parts of the U.S., the reality is it's only eight short weeks away from manifesting itself. On the crazy fashion schedule, retailers and designers have already come out with their A/W or F/W lines. That translates to some fabulous early adopter discounts. Get educated on fall trends and (1) decide which trends are for you based on your current lifestyle and budgetary constraints, (2) head to your favorite store and see which trends are most prevalent, and (3) become friends with a sales associate who can let you know which clothing isn't really a fast-moving trend [because those items will be discounted soon].
