So Much to Share, So Little Time!

suit_1Everyone needs to check out Uptown Social Magazine– get a subscription as soon as possible.  They’ll be running an article this week on German travel……it’s haute and if anyone is headed there, (after all, it is once again the mecca for fashion in Eastern Europe), you’ll need the insider information that will be provided!

Well Blueprint for Style has lots to say but, we try to balance that with what we think you, the reader, wants to hear.  With so much to say and so little time, PLEASE share your thoughts on what you’d like to hear about over the next few weeks.

Starting in mid-August thru mid-September, Blueprint will be running a series on “Transformation”, taking a peek into the closets of some BfS clients and how we’re solving their issues:

  • changing their wardrobe from summer to fall styles
  • updating a young woman’s wardrobe from corporate dress to more edgy and chic to prepare for her new career
  • refining a client’s wardrobe from casual to corporate dress

In the midst of that, our focus will also be on getting everyone ready for the fall in September – since that is when all of the fall/winter runway clothes are translated into everyday fashions!!

Stay tuned…..

  1. Hi Monica, Ever since Juhie told me about your site I have been checking it out every day! I love the variety of information and commentary you offer, especially now as I am trying to rethink my wardrobe and my relationship to style in general. Since you asked, here are some suggestions of topics that would be fun to read about in the future: 1. Retailers (brick-and-mortar or on-line) that give the best service.
    2. When you travel, I’d love to hear about the best places you find in different cities for shopping (and everything else). 3. Jeans are so confusing — I know what cut flatters me, but there are so many brands, and I’d love to hear about which are most worth the $$$, and which are just buzz.
    4. I’ve read about the concept of having a “base color” and how to use it to enhance your wardrobe. For example, I don’t look great in black, white OR brown/khaki shades, so I have figured out that navy should be my “base.” How then to wear other colors with it? (Not sure if I’m articulating this well.)
    5. It would be interesting to have an ongoing discussion about the specific wardrobe pieces that people have gotten the most out of; like, maybe for one person it’s a Chanel suit, but maybe for someone else it’s an amazing pair of earrings. I like hearing about what other people’s wardrobe “staples” are. Or maybe you could tell us what yours are. These are just my ideas! I am looking forward to reading your “transformation” features in the fall. Thanks for the ongoing education!
