clogs: they’re earthy stylish but are they good for you?

I’m a huge fan of clogs and it started, in earnest, when I was traveling almost everyday as a health care consultant. Clogs could be thrown on and off easily, they provided a little air circulation if you were headed to a warmer climate, and they provided protection if you were headed to a soggy or cooler climate.

That love for clogs matured into the Dansko’s (you know the ones medical professionals roam the halls with…) and most recently, I’ve fallen for the Florina clog [pictured above].

A totally rando thought popped into my head and I decided to see if clogs are actually any good for you. I was stunned/shocked/dismayed/in awe when this site said that they’re bad for you because they strip your foot of its inherent power, destabilize your main foot arch, and contribute to common toe deformities and problems.

OMG!

I’m not sure where to go from here because I’m not tossing my Dansko (I just got a cool grey pair) and I’m 100% feeling this Florina clogs.

What should we do?

Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available….
