With fall and that six-letter swear word (winter....) right around the corner, we need to prepare ourselves. As you run out with your coffee in hand and jump in the ride, neither the seat nor the steering wheel will be warm from the summer sun so, prepare yourself! In addition, the cooler weather also means for most of us 30-somethings, drier hands is also a concern and we'd never put forth an ashen hand for greeting but a gloved one perhaps!!
I had the pleasure of doing a wonderful tw0-week trip to Italy almost 10 years ago and while in Rome, purchased my first (4) pair of Sermoneta gloves and I have never purchased another brand since. Gold lame Italian leather, $85: these Claudio Orciani's are great and the metallic gold lame is a standout touch; since it's an Italian-based brand, the leather is still stellar- Long leather and knit gloves, $345: this longer length Sophia Kokosalaki glove is perfect for your three-quarter sleeve tops; the length creates a little more glamour and, again, they're made of Italian leather and available starting September 30th
Italian gloves, $145: these maroon Prada gloves have an elasticized closure which makes them slightly sportier but, no less chic; the maroon color will allow them to standout with your camel, black or grey coat!
Remember that the longer the glove, the easier it will be to go from day to eveningwear; black is great but, opt for a glove with some color (fall colors are teal, purple and grey...all available at Sermoneta!); and ensure they have lining preferably cashmere (all Sermoneta gloves are!).
