Virtual Dressing Rooms

Ever gone into a store to be humiliated by the long walk from the dressing room to the main mirrors?  Or perhaps it’s the enthusiastic vote of approval from a sales associate who must know that your ill-fitting outfit is not right for you?

Well perhaps you can avoid some of this craziness not only by shoppng online, but by usign a couple of new programs that will be introduced this year: Fits.me and Styku.com.

Fits.me is a virtual form that is made up of lots of components to let you create thousands of size options and shapes.  Although only available with a male model currently, the ladies version is en route.  Styku takes it up a notch: you create a 3-D avatar with your measurements and face!  A pared down version has launched but the full version won’t come out till fall.  Here’s to not having to ask the perky sales associate whether something looks right on you!
