The American Journal of Cardiology did a recent study that found you can improve your erectile function by consuming more omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, calcium, folic acid and foods that boost testosterone (dah!), so we caught wind of this recipe from Details Magazine and had to share:
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 whole frozen banana
- 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
- ½ cup plain yogurt
- ½ cup whole milk
- 1 tbsp spirulina powder (type of algae)
Blend it and then…get it on! Here’s the inside scoop for each ingredient:
- Blueberries are high in antioxidants which stimulate production of nitric oxide (NO), a key ingredient in maintaining erectile function
- Bananas are rich in potassium, a mineral that can protect you from the effects of an erection-free high-salt tea
- Flaxseed is full of omega-3 to lower blood pressure and stimulate NO production
- Yogurt is a good source of calcium and elevating NO production
- Whole milk is a great source of protein and boost testosterone levels
- Spirulina, a blue-green algae high in omega-3s and great for NO production
