Every Woman Needs a Tuxedo

After having one made, I now realize every woman should own a tuxedo. It doesn’t have to be custom but, a tuxedo is such a great way to do elevated and chic while keeping it somewhat low-key. When Do I Wear a Tuxedo for a Wedding?

Hard and fast rule: If the wedding is 8 pm or after, wear a tuxedo even if the invitation doesn’t suggest so.  If the wedding is at 7 pm-ish, use your best judgment.  Lastly, if the invitation indicates ‘Black Tie Optional’ always wear a tuxedo. In this situation, you cannot overdress.  For afternoon weddings and early evening summer weddings consider leaving the tuxedo behind. .

Tuxedo Tip for 2-K-10

Gentlemen, let’s resolve to make the big purchase in 2-K-10….yep, we’re talking about a tuxedo preferably with peak lapels (or notch will do)!  It’s neither stylish nor fiscally prudent to rent one for each black-tie affair.
