The Migration of the Negro

Originally unveiled in 1941 by African-American painter Jacob Lawrence, the 60-panel anthology has been shuttled between DC’s Phillips Collection and New York’s MOMA. Well, for the first time in 20 years, it will be reunited at MOMA as the centerpiece of the exhibition, “One-Way Ticket: Jacob Lawrence’s Migration Series and Other Visions of the Great Movement North”.
