The summer wardrobe staples every busy professional should own.

• The list varies a little by industry.

Your SUMMER STAPLES include:

1. 1️⃣ Lightweight, light-colored suit (not necessarily to be worn together)
2. 2️⃣ White bottoms
3. 3️⃣ Bright-colored tops
4. 4️⃣ Smart layer (which we discussed in this post)
5. 5️⃣ SPF (we favor this one because it goes on clear)
6. 6️⃣ White button-down (you had to know that was going to be on the list!)
7. 7️⃣ Moisture-wicking underwear …sweat stains in unmentionable places is not cool
8. 8️⃣ Cognac-colored footwear – and it transitions nicely into fall!
9. 9️⃣ Versatile t-shirt or throw-n-go dresses

Just 9 items will make a great start to keeping you cool all summer!

P.S. – for the ladies that say that cannot find great shorts, I found them! They’re available in 4-in and 6-in inseams (I favor the 4-in because they’re a little more flirty) but have 4-way stretch and come in the perfect, basic summer colors. Check them out here!
