The Summer Olympics are less than a month away (July 27th) …. and I’m so psyched because I love the track & field portion! Harper’s Bazaar.com (my second favorite online magazine behind WWD) did a feature on the 20 Most Stylish Olympians so I had to check it out. I don’t agree with most of them (click here for the entire article), but I saw a couple that I’d give the thumbs up to.
The ones that immediately come to mind for me are Florence Griffith-Joyner {while the outfits were not very “me”, I loved her execution of personal style which, by the way, lead to gold medals; her one-legged unitards gave us color, sass, and a clear look at a finely-tuned body}; and Venus and Serena Williams {off the court, they stand out because some of their style antics are questionable; on the court, they’ve brought zestiness, sensuality, and spicy color + catsuits to a sport that has been traditionally very white short & shirt}.
I just noticed….catsuits is a consistent theme…..is there something there?!
