Cape Town Store Review: The Safari Club…Purveyor of Exotic Skins

The owner, Nicole Temple, rattles off her history and background about how she got where she is today and somewhere in the midst, you realize she was made for this!  Having grown up in a house where snakeskin, ostrich, and crocodile were everyday means you, at least, have some understanding and appreciation for its rarity.purple ostrich wallet

Johnica Reed and I were introduced to the store by designer Nabeela Abrahams and fell in love instantly…not just because the quality of the skins was terrific, or the owner knew exactly what she was talking about but the colors were extraordinary and the variety was awe-inspiring!!  While the interview below provides a quick 8-minute synopsis that will have you ducking PETA like me, I am also pleased to say that The Safari Club does not use skins from endangered species so, buy away!

I am now the proud owner of a peacock-colored ostrich eyeglass case (FAB-u-lous!) and an oversized tan and black snakeskin bangle, and I want to say I’m going to find every opportunity possible to wear them and show off my eyeglass case!
