I’m a traveler and since lots of you are too, the new Department of Transporation rules that require airlines to show all mandatory fees and taxes in airlines’ fare promotions and search results will be music to your ears and less shock to your eyes!
And if you decide you’ve made a mistake buying the ticket? Within 24 hours, the new rules say you can get your money back (United Airlines had been doing it for a while though…)!
Now if we can just work on the 3.4oz liquid rule…..
Quick notes: Southwest is the only airline that doesn’t charge for a second checked bag. JetBlue lets your first checked bag fly free. Spirit Airlines will charge you up to $45 for a single carry-on bag
